Our official seaside season is nearly here and what better way to get ready for its launch than by spending the day blowing the winter cobwebs away with a day in Southport? 
 
Will you head to beach, dip your toes in the sea or dig out a bucket and spade and create your very own sandcastle? 
 
Or perhaps the order of the day will be more  retail and eatery based with Southport’s variety of both so you can shop and dine at your own leisure. If you’ve got the kids with you, why not head to Southport Pleasureland for some great fun (admission not included) but don’t forget the good old classic arcades with penny drops and classic arcade games… you’ll have a ball!
 
If you want to go for a stroll, the Botanic Gardens is the place to go with free entry. Opened in 1874, the gardens are bursting with flowers galore. Or maybe you’ll find the aviary for a chance to feed various types of birds, including Macaws, Doves, and Parakeets. Our personal favourite is the mini golf though - will YOU get a hole in one?!
