Walk: Llandudno Pier to Great Orme Lighthouse
Difficulty: Moderate
Length: 7.9km
Elevation: 356m
Approximate Completion Time: 2 hours and 40 minutes
Rambler Rating: 4.6 stars
Your day begins with a gentle walk from the coach up towards Llandudno Pier ready to begin your walk.
Although this walk is very simple to follow, the change of elevation throughout and some pathways that are more rugged than others, it will surely delight many ramblers just for the views alone.
As you head past the toll gate and join Marine Drive towards the Great Orme, you’ll encounter beautiful views of the coast along the way with several benches to sit and rest too.
The turning point is just past Great Orme Lighthouse which was alleged to have been built in 1862 but is now private property. Lighthouses are magical structures, often striped in white and red, curiously, and a beacon of light, quite literally. Enjoy stepping back in time!
As you make your way back towards the pier, enjoy taking in the views from a different angle and looking down over the town itself. Be sure to enjoy a spot of bird watching!
This route is suitable for dogs but it is recommended they are kept on a leash for safety reasons.
